Hospitality Action presents an evening with Michel Roux OBE and Brian Turner CBE at Roux at Skindles

Join us for a very special Q&A plus great food and live music with legendary chef Michel Roux OBE in conversation with Brian Turner CBE. Taking place in the Cocktail Bar at Michel’s new brasserie, Roux at Skindles, Taplow Riverside, on Wednesday 22nd May, the evening will feature a Taittinger Champagne reception followed by simple yet delicious food and wines.  The evening will culminate in an exclusive interview with Michel followed by live jazz entertainment.

Guests will experience Michel Roux’s stunning new Thameside brasserie, which opened in November 2018 in partnership with son and Chef Patron, Alain.  Roux at Skindles offers a casual take on classic French brasserie fare and is the perfect elegant, yet relaxed setting for our evening with the world-renowned chef.

Michel will delight guests with stories about his hugely successful career that charts the course of Britain’s gastronomic awakening, a feat widely attributed to the Roux family.

Having launched, along with brother, Albert, his first restaurant, the acclaimed Le Gavroche in London, they went on to open The Waterside Inn in Bray-on-Thames, Michel’s famous restaurant.

The Waterside Inn remains the only establishment in the world outside France to have retained three Michelin stars for 35 years. The Roux family dynasty has provided a launch pad for many of the biggest names in gastronomy today, and their kitchens have been the crucible where many of the UK’s current crop of Michelin stars were first formed.

Hosting the Q&A is much loved chef and leading light of UK gastronomy Brian Turner CBE, President of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts.  Michel and Brian, who share a close and longstanding friendship, have had a huge influence on today’s dining scene.  Their conversation promises to be lively, entertaining and insightful.

Book your tickets now for Taittinger Champagne, canapés on the terrace, overlooking the River Thames, followed by sharing plates, wines and a special Q&A session with Michel Roux OBE and Brian Turner CBE followed by live jazz.

Each guest will receive a complimentary signed copy of Michel Roux’s “Sauces”.  Tickets are £150 per person. To book your tickets please either email maria@hospitalityaction.org.uk or visit our website.
