Worldwide: After a successful European pilot, the partnership will see a number of music programs and activations launching at 13 international Fairmont properties.

The Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, in the heart of Switzerland, hosts the annual Montreux Jazz Festival (MJF) across two weeks in July. The hotel welcomes artists, festival-goers and music lovers to discover new talent and to listen to icons.

Partnering with the MJF, Fairmont will focus on nurturing aspiring musicians. With the 2020 Fairmont World Tour, guests around the world will be able to experience a taste of the celebrated music festival.

After the successful European Tour in 2019, musicians Jalen N'Gonda and Bobby Bazini are invited to perform at the 13 participating properties.

N'Gonda will perform at six Fairmont hotels in south and north America, whereas Bazini will tour six in Europe and Asia. The two will meet at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace for a final jam session on March 7, 2020.

"Fairmont's special connection to music is at the forefront of our rich and celebrated brand history," said Sharon Cohen, vice president of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. "As a proud supporter of musical talent, we are thrilled to expand our partnership with the Montreux Jazz Festival through exclusive activations and innovative programming that will not only inspire our guests, but provide them with opportunities to discover new music."

Mathieu Jaton, CEO of the Montreux Jazz Festival, added:

"The Montreux Jazz Festival is proud to bring emerging musical talent to audiences all around the world, in a series of exclusive intimate and enriching experiences. This global musical adventure highlights Fairmont's hospitality excellence, as well as our shared passion for music and commitment to supporting the next generation of artists."

The Montreux Jazz Festival, now in its 54th year, draws a crowd of 250,000. Originally a jazz festival since its inception in 1967, Montreux now showcases artists from all genres. Notable names include Etta James, Bob Dylan, Elon John, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, James Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Leonard Cohen, Marvin Gaye, Miles Davis, and Nina Simone, among others.

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has a worldwide portfolio of more than 75 hotels, and is part of the Accor group. For over a century it has hosted famous musical moments, such as John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 'Bed-in for Peace' at Montreal's Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, to punk rock Ramones concerts at Fairmont Olympic Hotel's ballroom in Seattle.
