Simon Rogan has begun opening his restaurants on July 4, but Roganic and Aulis in London have not been given an opening date and staff will remain on furlough.

His Lake District restaurants, L’Enclume, Rogan & Cor and Aulis, has reopened on Saturday, July 4, while Henrock – which opened last year and overlooks the banks of Lake Windermere – will open from Thursday July 9.

“As Britain gears up for a summer of staycations, this foodie destination looks set to makes the perfect gourmet getaway,” said his team.

As has always been, the restaurants will make use of the Cumbrian produce afforded them from Rogan’s farm, and “socially distanced” dining has been implemented across the board.

The food is very much the focus, with little said about the logistics. There are reactive innovations, however, added to the business.

“At Rogan & Co, following chef Tom Barnes’ triumphant BBC Great British Menu win in the spring, diners can experience the entire six course menu that took Simon Rogan’s Executive Chef of the North West through to the final banquet.

“At £95 per person, the menu includes Tom’s winning main course of Herdwick lamb, inspired by Lake District legend Beatrix Potter, alongside an amuse bouche, starter, fish and dessert course. Open for lunch and dinner, from Wednesday through to Monday, an a la carte and set menu will also be available.”

Elsewhere in the group, the group has created ‘Simon Rogan at Home’, bringing “restaurant quality dishes and experiences” into diners’ own kitchens.

It launched earlier this month and almost sold out immediately. The concept offers everything from veg boxes, to baked goods and beer, as well as 3-course weekly-changing set menus.

Coming soon will be ‘Chefs at Home’, in which one of Rogan’s chefs will cook personally for guests in their homes or holidays cottages.

“Roganic & Aulis, Simon Rogan’s restaurants in Marylebone and Soho, will remain closed for the time being with current plans being to resume trading later in the year,” added the group.
