Anyone who has ever experienced the service of a luxury hotel knows how many well-trained employees it takes to make the stay all-round perfect for every guest. With 30 trainees, the five-star Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is one of the large/medium training companies in the district and is extremely attractive for school graduates: The well-founded practice and theory of the trainings allow hotel specialists to shine in 14 different job profiles at the end of their training period. The takeover rate at Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden is 60%.

Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden was awarded first place of Germany's best training in the hotel industry by the study "Germany's best training companies" on 27 March 2021. For the independent report, commissioned by Deutschland Test and Focus Money, a questionnaire  has sent to the 20,000 companies with the most employees in Germany, which covered the four key topics of structural data, apprentice remuneration, training success and additional offers.

General Manager Werner Müller and his team are delighted about this award "There are more than 11,000 hotels in Germany, including many excellent establishments, so we are particularly proud to have achieved first place! Our top priority is the well-being and satisfaction of our guests. This requires a sound and excellent training of our staff. We are pleased that our efforts to offer first-class and individual service have been honoured by this beautiful award" says Werner Müller.

The company's nearly 30 trainees are also proud of this award. They confirm that, even during the pandemic, their training never suffered. Webinars and calls were offered by the management team of the house, as well as cross-trainings at the partner Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich.

"It was a good feeling to know I was taken care of. At no point during our training did things come to a standstill, and we are all very grateful for that" says Oliver Schwarz, second-year apprentice at the hotel.
