Hilton has signed an agreement with FreshOnTable, a UAE-based startup which promotes local farms and sustainability. Working with over 50 UAE farms, the company sources fruits, vegetables, dairy products, poultry and seafood – all of which will now be easily accessible to the group’s properties.

By sourcing items from local farms, FreshOnTable reduces the environmental footprint by keeping the source of production and consumption close together, allows farmers to operate at a sustainable margin, and ensures transparency. FreshOnTable also has a ‘no storage’ model, promising produce on demand.

Emma Banks, Vice President, F&B Strategy and Development Hilton EMEA says:

“Here at Hilton, by 2030, we’re committed to doubling our investment in social impact and cutting our environmental footprint in half through responsible hospitality, and F&B have a huge role to play in reaching this goal. I’m very proud to be driving sustainable solutions, such as working with partners like FreshOnTable who are leading the way in the UAE in sourcing local and recycling food to help reduce our carbon footprint.”

Atul Chopra, FreshOnTable Managing Director and Founder says:

“FreshOnTable is delighted to have partnered with Hilton in their mission to promote local farms. This will go a long way in not only encouraging our farm partners to grow more but also assist in the nation’s food security mission.”

To celebrate the partnership, Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre and Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers will offer a limited-time ‘Made in the UAE’ menu. Available from June 1-30, this special menu will be made exclusively from local ingredients sourced from FreshOnTable, including local hamachi, tomatoes, mushrooms, various green leaf vegetables and organic chicken.
