For the second year in a row, the visionary behind La Dame de Pic London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will partner with celebrated chef Clare Smyth to honour women around the world

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020, two of the world’s greatest chefs, Anne-Sophie Pic and Clare Smyth, will prepare and host a dinner in celebration of International Women’s Day at the renowned two-Michelin starred Core by Clare Smyth. Following on from their hugely successful collaborative dinner last year at La Dame de Pic London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square, the two chefs are joining forces once more to honour this special day.

Anne-Sophie is the most decorated female Michelin-starred chef in the world, and earned the title when La Dame de Pic London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square earned its second star in the 2020 Michelin Guide. She currently holds eight stars across her four restaurants and is the only female chef in France to hold three Michelin stars, for her family restaurant Maison Pic in Valence.

Clare Smyth is an internationally renowned Michelin-starred chef and remains the first and only female chef to run a restaurant with three Michelin-stars in the UK.  She was awarded two stars as a new entry into the 2019 Michelin Guide for her debut restaurant, Core by Clare Smyth.  She was also named The World’s Best Female Chef by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

“I shared an amazing time with Clare Smyth last year. I welcomed her to La Dame de Pic London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square and let her be part of my universe; now it’s my turn to be heading to Core and to be a part of hers. The evening is so meaningful as we celebrate women in the hospitality industry and I’m thrilled to be working together with Clare again,” says Anne-Sophie.

For one evening only, the two chefs will welcome guests to a celebration of women in the restaurant industry.  Combining their talents, creativity and teamwork, they will each showcase a selection of signature dishes as part of the six-course tasting menu, interacting with guests throughout the evening. Anne-Sophie’s team from La Dame de Pic London at Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square will also join the team at Core to serve guests throughout the evening.

On arrival, guests will be served a selection of canapés from Anne-Sophie and Clare followed by a first course from Anne-Sophie’s kitchen of steak tartare seasoned with mustard and wagyu beef emulsion, beetroot, smoked pike caviar and lovage ice cream. The second course by Anne-Sophie will be berlingots, pasta parcels with Baron Bigod cheese, seasonal wild mushrooms, woodruff, barley and roasted hazelnut consommé and black truffle.  Clare will follow with a fish course of Cornish turbot, smoked mussels, red apple, cabbage and cider and the main course of Rhug Estate fallow deer, smoked chestnut, braised haunch and black truffle.  Desserts will include Anne Sophie’s Yorkshire rhubarb, shiso cream on cherry leaves meringue, rhubarb sorbet infused with damas rose, and finally, petit fours from Clare including a warm chocolate and clementine tart and "Sauternes and Banyuls."  Core’s Head Sommelier Gareth Ferreira and La Dame de Pic London’s Director of Wine Jan Konetzki have created a unique wine pairing menu sourced from leading female wine-makers and producers.

“It is an honour to have Anne-Sophie and her team join us in the kitchen at Core. I look forward working with her to create an amazing experience for our guests celebrating women in the hospitality industry,” says Clare Smyth.
